The fossil fuel comment is silly (Lilley has connections with the oil industry, to say the least, but that is no secret. However, that is something different that Lilley only being critical on behalf of them (aka denial industry). Scientists should try to stay above such qualifications.
That Wadham finds it apparently troubling that some the findings of the IPCC are rubbed in this face against is tells you everything about his position in this. Being confronted with “facts” only becomes an issues when politics start to get involved. If Wadham would be only concerned about the science, it wouldn’t matter what IPCC states. Since it does matter to him, I can only conclude he has a hidden agenda.
